Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla

One week after his successful concert at the Teatro Colón, where he presented his new album 100 in tribute to his grandfather, we share some thoughts from Daniel “Pipi” Piazzolla.

“Astor created universal music. He grew up in New York, longed to be a classical music composer, and in turn took his first steps with Carlos Gardel, and later with the Aníbal Troilo orchestra (the most important in the history of tango). Those worlds mixed in him, and the result was his music. I am proud to be his grandson, and very grateful for all the advice he has given me.”
